This blog follows the progress of the development of the Market Garden at Greenslate Community Farm. The blog runs from January 2017 until January 2018.
As the new Grower at Greenslate, I wanted to document my first season at the farm showing how we get the Market Garden up and running to provide enough food for the shop, the new cafe when it opens and a veg box scheme that we will be running from the farm.
Some growing at the farm has been trialled over the last few years but there is only a small amount of ground currently under production. It is very nearly a ‘blank canvas’ when I started to write this in January 2017 and it was an exciting journey.
This blog stops in January 2018 when I had built the new website for Greenslate Farm (greenslatefarm.org.uk) and all my online efforts went into that.
